I have a new job!

So I've been working in a salon for about a month now and I've hated every moment of it. It was strictly walkins. They never took appointments and were never and I mean NEVER busy. For the life of me I can't figure out how they expect hair stylists to build up their clientele. So I've moved on. The only thing that scares me about this new place is that it's booth rental. If I don't have any clients one week then I won't have any money for rent. If anyone has any ideas on how to get my name out there I'd greatly appreciate it!

new job

So I've only worked 2 days now at my new job in a salon and I've already done a color.  However, I'm not so sure I'm impressed.  They only take walk-ins...no appointments so tell me....how exactly do you build up your clientele?  I'm thinking I might buy my own appointment book and take appointments for when I know I'll be there and also for at home.  It just doesn't make any sense to me.  Why don't I quit you ask....well because I need the job.  Yes for the most part it is commission but they also have an hourly salary to fall back on.  How long I actually stay there is up in the air at this point.  Thinking I need to find another supplemental income.  ANy ideas??

Changing things up a bit

So I decided to change things up a bit.  I found that while I love anything and everything to do with fashion/beauty.  I was struggling to make decent posts about them.  SO from now on I'm just going to post about whatever I want.  It is after my blog so it's my prerogative. :)  So on to the ramblings of me....

I got a job in a salon!!  Finally I'll be able to do one thing that I love.  Next up...taking night classes to obtain my license in massage therapy.  I plan on opening my own full service spa one day so this is my way of being diverse in all things spa related.

I love the way this smells and am in need of a new perfume.

I need a new makeup case and I love how bright this is.  Pink is my favorite color as well.

I love the Chi flat irons.  It takes half the time to straighten my hair than any other brand.
